Privacy Policy
Last updated: 4 July 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how meet.biz ("we", "us", "our") handles information when you use our free timezone meeting planner at https://meet.biz (the "Service").
1. Information we collect
The Service is designed to collect as little information as possible:
- No accounts, no personal data forms. We do not ask you to register, and we do not collect your name, email address or any other personal details in order to use the planner.
- Time zone detection. Your browser's time zone setting is read locally by JavaScript to pre-select your default city and current time. This value is processed entirely in your browser and is not transmitted to our servers.
- City, date and time selections. All time conversions run in your browser. Your selections are only stored in the page's web address (URL), which you may choose to copy and share.
- Local storage. We store small preference values on your device (your cookie-consent choice and your 12/24-hour display preference). These never leave your device.
- Server logs. Like most websites, our hosting provider may automatically log standard technical data such as IP address, browser type, pages requested and timestamps for security and operational purposes.
2. Advertising and Google AdSense
We display advertising on this site through Google AdSense to keep the Service free. If you consent to advertising cookies:
- Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website or other websites.
- Google's use of advertising cookies (such as the DoubleClick/DART cookie) enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to this site and/or other sites on the Internet.
- You may opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings, or opt out of some third-party vendors' use of cookies for personalised advertising at www.aboutads.info.
- For more information on how Google uses data when you use partners' sites, see How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services.
If you decline advertising cookies via our consent banner, the Google AdSense script is not loaded. You can change your choice at any time using the "Cookie preferences" link in the footer.
3. Cookies
See our separate Cookie Policy for a description of the cookies and similar technologies used on this site and how to manage them.
4. Legal bases and your rights (EEA/UK visitors)
Where the EU/UK General Data Protection Regulation applies, we rely on your consent for advertising cookies (which you may withdraw at any time via the "Cookie preferences" link) and on our legitimate interests for basic security logging. You have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to processing of your personal data, and to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority. Because we hold essentially no personal data about you, most requests can be resolved simply by clearing your browser's storage for this site.
5. California and other US state privacy rights
We do not sell personal information in the conventional sense. However, the use of third-party advertising cookies may be considered "sharing" or "selling" under some US state laws. You can opt out by declining cookies in our consent banner, using the "Cookie preferences" link in the footer, or via the Google opt-out links in Section 2.
6. Children's privacy
The Service is a general-audience tool and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
7. Data retention
We retain no user data on our servers beyond routine, short-lived hosting logs. Preferences stored in your browser remain until you clear them.
8. Third-party links
Pages on this site may link to external websites (for example, Google's policy pages). We are not responsible for the privacy practices of other sites and encourage you to read their policies.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page shows when it was last revised. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
